Monty uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to power features like recipe import, pantry suggestions, Ask Monty chat, and health facts. When you use these features, your input (recipe URLs, ingredient lists, questions) is sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing. We do not store the content of AI conversations beyond your current session.

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database with row-level security). Each user's data is isolated — you can only access your own recipes and account information. We use HTTPS encryption for all data transmission.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete all associated data within 30 days. Anonymous usage analytics may be retained for longer to help us improve the product.
Monty is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Monty after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

By creating an account or using Monty, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. These terms apply to all users including free and paid subscribers.
Monty is an AI-powered recipe organiser for home cooks. We provide tools to save, organise, import, and discover recipes, as well as AI-powered features including pantry suggestions, meal planning, and a cooking assistant.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice to users.
Free users can save up to 10 recipes and access core features including pantry mode, Ask Monty, and health facts.
Pro subscribers ($9/month or $79/year) get unlimited recipes, full meal planning, and all current and future Pro features. Founding members who subscribed early are locked into their promotional rate for as long as they remain subscribed.
Your recipes are yours. You own all content you create or import into Monty. By saving content to Monty, you grant us a limited licence to store and display it back to you as part of the service. We will never use your recipes for advertising or share them with third parties without your consent.

Monty uses AI to generate recipe suggestions, cooking tips, and health information. AI-generated content is provided for informational and cooking inspiration purposes only. Always use your own judgement when cooking, especially regarding food safety, allergies, and dietary requirements. Monty is not responsible for outcomes from following AI-generated recipes or advice.
The Monty name, logo, and app design are our intellectual property. Recipe content you import from third-party websites remains the property of the original creators — we simply help you organise it for personal use.
Monty is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Florida.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice with at least 14 days notice. Continued use after that period constitutes acceptance.
